Online School for the Medical Professions

I created this website as a part of a team.

The Online School for the Medical Professions is part of the IMA. It is a place for training, teaching, and learning, enabling medical students to study at the place, time and pace suitable for them, at any hour of any day, 24/7.

Since this site is part of the change we made to the main site of the Israel Medical Association, the color palette was synchronized with the main site.

Initially, due to budget considerations, they only wanted to do a facelift to the existing site. However, we showed the client that there is also a problem with the information architecture and the accessibility of the educational material for students from different professions.

The old website had visibility challenges, but the main issue was finding the desired learning material. We added more accurate filtering by data type in addition to the existing subject filtering, and improved the hierarchy so that each academy gets its “place of honor”.

Old site:

Logo design.

The logo combine book, online icon and the symbol of wisdom – owl.

The amount of educational material on the site is huge. It was necessary to divide the site into three complexes. Give each academy its own stage and prepare a home page that explains about the school and allows access to a page dedicated to each of the complexes.

The school has three study complexes and in one complex there are over 30 different academies for each medical field.

The need was to prepare for each academy its own page and allow the student to directly enter the page with his specific field of specialization and immediately find all the studies that are suitable for his specialization.

In addition, a general search option, search by type of study, face-to-face, online, test, lecture, complete course, etc.

In order to overcome the difficulty in finding a suitable course or test, extended filtering was necessary.
